A major Canadian-based company, specializing in the wholesale distribution of wood products, building material, flooring and re-manufacturing / distribution of lumber is seeking a motivated Inside Sales Representative for our Building Materials division, at our Campbellville ON facility, located at Guelph Line & HWY 401 - 15 minutes west of Milton ON.
Job title: Inside Sales Representative – Building Materials
Reporting to: LBM Sales Manager
Duties:
- Sell and provide superior customer service to the independent lumber dealer network in Ontario
- Develop strong relationships with lumber dealer accounts through proactive selling and superior
- customer service
- Effectively provide exceptional customer service and promptly answer all questions and inquiries
- Aggressively prospect and sell products into assigned territory
- Accurately quote pricing and keep quotes organized for follow up
- Work in coordination with Outside Sales partner
- Enter all orders accurately and recommend additional add-on sales
- Take ownership of all orders through the entire process from entry to shipping
- Assist with customer accounts including issuing credits, debits, investigating discrepancies.
- Maintain contact with Yard Personal for stock checks
- Maintain contact with Shipping Personal to ensure shipments leave in a timely manner, includes communication with other branches
- Assist Sales Manager and Product Managers where needed
- Notify Sales Manager/Product Manager of all potential opportunities, missed sales, inventory discrepancies, market trends, etc.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Strong outbound selling and customer service skills
- Ability to handle customer issues and requirements
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Able to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks and manage multiple priorities
- Able to perform well in stressful situations
- Effectively work in a close team atmosphere
- Ability to analyze, solve problems and make decisions
- Experience with ERP systems
