Outdoor Operations Manager (Full-Time, Year-Round)

Craigleith Ski Club is seeking an experienced and hands-on Outdoor Operations Manager to lead all on-hill operations and deliver an exceptional ski experience for our members.

This is a key leadership role responsible for the day-to-day performance of lifts, snowmaking, grooming, terrain park, and patrol. If you are someone who thrives in a fast-paced outdoor environment, leads by example, and takes pride in operational excellence, we want to hear from you.

What You’ll Do

- Lead all on-hill operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality daily execution
- Oversee lift operations, snowmaking, grooming, terrain park, and patrol
- Build, lead, and develop a strong team of supervisors and seasonal staff
- Champion a culture of safety and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements
- Plan and execute snowmaking and grooming strategies to deliver top-tier conditions
- Manage departmental budgets, staffing, and operational planning
- Lead capital projects related to on-hill infrastructure and equipment
- Maintain a strong on-hill presence, especially during peak periods
- Collaborate with other departments to support overall Club operations and events

What You Bring

- Leadership experience in ski area or outdoor operations
- Strong technical knowledge of lifts, snowmaking systems, and grooming
- Proven ability to lead large, seasonal teams in a energetic environment




- A hands-on, solutions-focused approach with strong decision-making skills
- Solid understanding of safety standards and regulatory requirements
- Experience with budgeting, planning, and project execution
- Valid driver’s license

Assets include:

- SLM-A or equivalent certification
- Experience with snowmaking systems/software (e.g., ATASS)
