We are one of the largest not-for-profit providers of licensed child care in Canada and have over 100 school age programs across our regions. We also offer settlement services to newcomers, employment programs, mental health support, and youth programs. YMCA of Southwestern Ontario operates one overnight camp on Beausoleil Island in Muskoka. Be part of a caring and supportive network of people to help each other succeed A Day Camp Counsellor will provide high quality day camp programing to children between 4 to 16 years old
n
Prepare and deliver exceptional day camp programming
n
Willing to work in indoor, outdoor and aquatic environments
n
Be on your feet for the majority of the workday, walking, running, jumping, active playing. At locations that have pools or splash pads, staff are expected to be in the water with the children
n
Follow all Health & Safety and Child Protection policies to keep the camp a secure place for all
n
Experience working with children in a Day Camp Setting
n
Explicit Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening as per cure
n
