JOB TITLE: Wardrobe Assistant

Location: Hastings County (combination of in-person work in Tweed and Bancroft as well as some remote work)

Accommodation/ Travel: accommodation & round-trip transportation will be provided if not local

Type of Employment: full-time, temporary

Dates: July 13, 2026 - September 6, 2026 (8 weeks)

Hours: 40 hours per week

Rate of Pay: $800 per week + 4% vacation pay

Note: as this position is funded through the Canada Summer Jobs program, the successful candidate must be between 15 and 30 years of age.

Expectations:

Reporting to the Head of Wardrobe, the Wardrobe Assistant provides support to the costume department of Tweed & Company Theatre. This entry-level position focuses on costuming the Company’s summer production of Fiddler on the Roof.

Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):

● Assisting with the building, sourcing and altering of costume pieces





● Assist with note taking & taking measurements during costume fittings

● Dress the production of Fiddler on the Roof

● Launder & repair costume pieces throughout the run of the show

● Other tasks may include but are not limited to: the organization of costume storage, creating & maintaining inventory documentation, communicating with various departments, creating & maintaining spreadsheets, etc.

Qualifications:

The Wardrobe Assistant is someone who

● Has completed or is enrolled in a post-secondary institution, or equivalent experience in costume construction, is an asset

● Has strong hand and machine sewing skills

● Enjoys working in a quick-paced environment

● Is a creative problem solver and likes to think outside the box

● Takes initiative to complete tasks delegated to them

● Enjoys collaborating with team members (& having fun!)

Pay: $800.00 per week

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Tweed, ON
