nLocation: Hastings County (combination of in-person work in Tweed and Bancroft as well as some remote work)n

Dates: June 22, 2026 - August 30, 2026 (10 weeks)

Hours: 35 hours per week

Rate of Pay: $19.60 per hour + 4% vacation pay
n
Note: as this position is funded through the Canada Summer Jobs program, the successful candidate must be between 15 and 30 years of age.

Expectations:
nReporting to the Artistic & Co-Executive Director, the Production Assistant provides logistical and administrative support to the creative and production team ensuring that rehearsals and performances run smoothly. The Production Assistant participates in set builds as well as loading in and out of performance venues.n
Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
n
● Running errands & purchasing supplies for productions
n
● Assisting with accommodations and some cast and creative correspondence
n
● Assist with the set-up of rehearsal spaces (sweeping, mopping, tables, extension cords, speakers, etc.)
n
● Scenic painting
n
● Support to our Young Company program coordinators
n
● Preparing rehearsal props and maintaining consumables
n
● Attending & taking notes at Production Meetings
n
● Assisting with set & prop construction & sourcing materials
n
● Repairs during the run of shows
n
● Assisting with maintaining & organizing Company inventory
n
Qualifications:
nThe Production Assistant is someone who:n
● Has a valid G-class driver’s license (access to a vehicle is an asset)
n
● Is comfortable working with power tools
n
● Has scenic painting experience (an asset but not required)
n
● Has professional or post-secondary experience in theatre production
n
● Is familiar and comfortable with Google Workspace & Google Drive or has the ability to learn computer programs quickly
n
● Enjoys working in a fast-paced setting
n
● Is a creative problem solver and likes to think outside the box
n
● Takes initiative to complete tasks delegated to them
n
● Enjoys collaborating with team members (& having fun!)
n
Pay: $19.60 per hour
