DATA ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

POSITION SUMMARY
The Human Resources Administration Assistant plays a key role in supporting HR and governance functions within our not-for-profit workplace. This role provides meaningful, hands-on experience in recruitment, onboarding/offboarding, volunteer coordination, HR administration, digital HR systems, and policy/governance support. Working closely with the VP, Finance & Operations, the assistant will guided through relevant projects, with regular check-ins, and review of progress. This is a primarily remote position with occasional in-person work.

Core Duties
- Assist with recruitment processes, gaining practical experience in job postings, applicant screening, and interview coordination.
- Support employee and volunteer onboarding and offboarding procedures, learning HR process flow and compliance requirements.
- Contribute to building and organizing an HR SharePoint hub, supporting digital HR information management.
- Provide HR and governance administrative support, including research, note-taking, document preparation, and workflow coordination.
- Assist with volunteer recruitment and coordination activities.
- Support policy reviews, updates,
and governance documentation.
EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS
- Some University and/or College Education, Completion of University/College Diploma.
- Familiarity with HR information systems and SharePoint environment development.
- Understanding of policy development, governance structures, and administrative compliance.
- Experience in project coordination, research, note-taking, and digital document management.
- Experience in working with volunteers is an asset.
- Willingness to sign a confidentiality agreement and maintain strict confidentiality in all HR and governance matters.
CONTRACT
This is a Canada Summer Jobs-funded role for an 8-week contract beginning June 22, 2026, until August 14, 2026. The position is for 35 hours per week at $21.50 per hour.
ELIGIBILITY
As a Canada Summer Jobs-funded role, eligible applicants must:
- Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of employment
- Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment
- Have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations
Note:
- Must maintain a valid G-level driver’s license and have access to a vehicle during working hours
- Ability to travel to program sites across Chatham-Kent and Windsor-Essex is required
