POSITION SUMMARY

nRegistered Practical Nurses (RPNs) report to the Client Services Coordinator and are responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care that enables clients to remain safe and comfortable in their own homes. Care is provided in accordance with individualized care plans and clinical best practices.n

nKEY RESPONSIBILITIESnn




- Provide nursing care in accordance with the client's care plan and scope of practice
n
- Assist with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support as needed
n
- Administer medications and monitor for effectiveness and side effects
n
- Perform clinical tasks such as wound care, injections, and health monitoring as required
n
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), meal preparation, and light housekeeping
n
- Provide companionship and emotional support
n
- Offer respite care for families
n
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation using electronic charting systems
n
- Promote a safe, respectful, and inclusive care environment
n

nQUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTSnn
- Current registration and good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) as an RPN or RN
n
- Solid verbal and written English communication skills
n
- Additional languages are considered an asset
n
- Reliable transportation (car or public transit) to travel between client locations
n
- Previous homecare or community nursing experience is an asset
n
- Access to a mobile phone and internet
n
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray (within the last 6 months)
n
- Current BLS certification from a WSIB-approved provider
n
- Valid Vulnerable Sector Screen (within the last 12 months)
n

- MMR, Tdap, Polio, Varicella, Hepatitis B (full vaccination required)
