Job Title:
nPlant Director (Food & Beverage Manufacturing)n

Salary:
n$160K - $190K CAD base (depending on experience)n

The organization operates a key production facility in Ontario and is entering a new phase of growth, with a focus on strengthening leadership, optimizing operations, and supporting long-term succession planning. They are known for maintaining a collaborative, performance-driven culture with direct access to senior leadership and ownership.n
What you will achieve in this role:
n
- Lead and manage all day-to-day plant operations including production, maintenance, sanitation, quality, warehousing, and shipping/receiving.
- Ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations while meeting production, service, and delivery targets.
- Drive compliance with food safety, quality, and regulatory standards including GMP, HACCP, CFIA, and BRC.
- Champion a safety-first culture aligned with WSIB, ESA, TSSA, and environmental requirements.
- Oversee preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability.
- Lead, coach, and develop supervisors and plant staff to drive performance, accountability, and engagement.
- Manage labor, production costs, and operational budgets through effective planning and productivity initiatives.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or WCM methodologies.
- Partner cross-functionally with QA, Purchasing, Logistics, R&D;, and Marketing on audits, forecasting, and current product commercialization.
- Track, analyze, and report KPIs and operational performance metrics to senior leadership.
nWhat you must bring to this role:n
- Must have 8-10 years of experience as a plant manager within a food manufacturing environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Strong working knowledge of GMP, HACCP, CFIA, and BRC food safety standards.
- Proven success leading production operations, maintenance coordination, and cost control initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, build engagement, and drive operational excellence.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
