Responsibilities:
n
- Perform core payroll and accounting administration, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and confidentiality of financial and employee data.
- Oversee payroll administration for salaried and hourly staff, reviewing hours worked, schedules, overtime, and submissions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Reconcile payroll reports, deductions, advantages, and employer contributions while supporting payroll audits and year-end reporting.
- Perform AP data entry and assist with AR coordination, maintaining accurate and well-documented financial records.
- Support month-end, year-end, and audit processes related to payroll, labour costs, and financial documentation.
- Collaborate with the Director of Finance to support financial controls, strengthen processes, and maintain operational integrity.
- Maintain and administer confidential employee records, compensation data, organizational charts, and personnel files.
- Serve as a trusted point of contact for employee inquiries related to policies, benefits, scheduling, and workplace matters, exercising discretion and professionalism.
- Support workforce planning, HR policy administration, and compliance with employment legislation.

Qualifications:
n
- Either candidates with 3+ years of experience looking to develop their skills, OR someone with several years of experience looking for a long-term role.
- Skilled in core accounting functions, including a basic understanding of payroll is ideal
- A "go-getter" attitude with the ability to identify and understand processes that need optimization
- Ability to be on-site in Niagara 5 days a week
