YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE
Reporting to the Store Manager, the Salesperson will provide fast, friendly and knowledgeable service by actively responding to customer requests and needs. The ideal salesperson will have great industry knowledge and able to hit the sales floor running. The Salesperson will be trained to sell stock wood products, custom manufactured products,
and special-order products to meet our clients’ needs. Opportunities for promotion are available for those who seek to advance their career as we continue to expand and grow our products, services, and client-base.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build relationships with contractors and other clients to promote recurring business
- Provide excellent customer service (greet, qualify, recommend, and close sales)
- Provide customers with expert advice regarding various wood products
- Answer the sales desk phone and email inquiries to respond to customer orders
- Process customer sales (quote, order, take payment, coordinate logistics)
- Ensure the store and sales desk are kept neat and tidy
- Other tasks as required
WHAT YOU NEED
- People skills – communicate clearly, build trust, take responsibility
- A willingness to be trained
- Professional approach and presence
- Outstanding attitude – take initiative and have a positive outlook
- Excellent English and French communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to use Windows and Microsoft Office including Word and Outlook
- Industry knowledge and previous sales experience are considered assets
- High school diploma essential; College diploma/university degree is considered an asset
Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
