- *THE OPPORTUNITY**

nManotick Place Retirement Community, located in Manotick, Ontario is actively seeking an energetic, enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to join our growing team.n

Reporting to the **Director of Care**, the **PSW** is responsible for providing a comfortable, safe and enjoyable experience for our residents.

· Biweekly Hours: 10-20

· Shift Times: Days, evenings and nights

· Compensation: $21.75

- *PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES**

n· Complete all aspects of resident care as outlined in the Care plan and/or as assigned.n

· Transport residents to and from their suites.

n

· Recreational activities.

n

· Activities of daily living such as grooming, dressing and bathing.

n

· Meal planning and preparation.

n

· Mobility and transfers.

n

· Light household duties such as cleaning, laundry and washing dishes.

n

· Provision of special functions that have been taught, with respect to the client by a regulated health professional.

n





· Report changes in client behaviour and condition.

n

· Continuously follow the principles of “good customer service.

n

· Demonstrate the ability to interact effectively with team, residents and families as well as external community resources.

n

· Demonstrate sound organizational skills and attention to detail.

n

- *PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS**

n· Frequently lift up to 25 pounds.n

· Use both hands and feet on a regular basis to perform physical assisting duties.

n

· Bend, kneel, and work with arms raised for periods of time.

n

· Walk and stand on a variety of surfaces for at least 4 hrs. per day.

n

· Climb stairs, operate elevators, lift luggage and move small equipment and furniture.

n

- *WHO YOU ARE**

n· Graduate of a recognized (accredited) P.S.W. certificate program.n

· Experienced in retirement living, geriatric, rehabilitation, or long-term care.

n

· Solid English communication skills, both oral and written.

n

· Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate.

n

· Must be able to provide a police check with vulnerable sector screen upon hire.

n

· Must be able to provide results of TB (tuberculosis) testing (2-step skin test or chest x-ray) upon hire.

n

· Must be able to provide a record of vaccination for COVID-19 (minimum 2 doses) upon hire.
