We are looking for a reliable, hands-on, and detail-oriented Production Technician to support the manufacturing, filling, packaging, and documentation of Glow’s cannabis products at our Etobicoke facility.
Position Summary The Production Technician is a junior role that supports day-to-day cannabis production activities for Glow’s MOD and .decimal product lines. This role includes material preparation, equipment setup, formulation support, filling, packaging, cleaning, sanitation, and production documentation.
This position is suitable for someone with 1–5 years of experience who is eager to learn, comfortable working in a regulated production environment, and committed to quality, safety, and compliance. Training will be provided.
The successful candidate must be able to obtain and maintain the required security clearance to work in a cannabis production facility.
Key Responsibilities
Production Operations
- Support the production of MOD soluble drops and .decimal cannabis capsules according to approved SOPs and Work Instructions
- Assist with material staging, weighing, dispensing, mixing, filling, capping, labelling, packaging, and finished goods preparation.
- Operate basic production and packaging equipment under supervision.
- Support production line setup, line clearance, and changeover activities.
- Monitor production steps for accuracy, cleanliness, and consistency.
- Identify and report any production issues, equipment concerns, or quality deviations to the Production Lead or Quality team.
- Supervise and assist in leading the production team
Documentation and Compliance
- Complete batch records, cleaning logs, equipment logs, reconciliation records, and other production documentation accurately and in real time.
- Follow all company SOPs, Good Production Practices, sanitation procedures, and Health Canada cannabis regulatory requirements.
- Support cannabis inventory reconciliation, material tracking, and finished goods documentation.
- Maintain accurate records for cannabis inputs, bulk product, packaging components, waste, and finished goods.
- Assist with audits, inspections, investigations, and continuous improvement activities as required.
Cleaning, Sanitation, and Facility Support
- Clean and sanitize production rooms, equipment, tools, and work surfaces before and after production.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inspection-ready production environment.
- Follow proper gowning, hygiene, and contamination-control procedures.
- Support cannabis waste handling and destruction activities according to SOPs.
- Assist with routine equipment checks, setup, and basic maintenance.
Quality and Safety
- Follow all health and safety procedures, including proper use of PPE.
- Handle cannabis materials, cleaning agents, equipment, and production tools safely and responsibly.
- Report unsafe conditions, spills, documentation errors, non-conformances, or equipment issues immediately.
- Support a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Required
- 1–5 years of experience in cannabis, food, pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, cosmetic, warehouse, production, laboratory, or other hands-on work environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written instructions, SOPs, and batch records.
- Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn.
- Comfortable performing hands-on production tasks in a regulated environment.
- Able to complete documentation accurately and legibly.
- Able to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Able to lift up to 25 kg as required.
- Must be eligible to work in Canada.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain required cannabis security clearance.
- Must be 19 years of age or older.
Preferred
- Previous experience in cannabis production or a licensed cannabis facility or in a food manufacturing environment
- Experience with cannabis extracts, tinctures, capsules, concentrates, or infused products.
- Experience in food, pharma, nutraceutical, cosmetics, or GMP/GPP manufacturing.
- Familiarity with SOPs, batch records, cleaning logs, or inventory reconciliation.
- WHMIS, food safety, forklift, or related training considered an asset.
- Basic mechanical aptitude or comfort working with production equipment.

Compensation Compensation will be based on experience and qualifications.
