YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:
Reporting to the Manager, Tailings, Water and Environment, the New or Recent Graduate Civil Engineer will join our Tailings Management team at Macassa. This role is specifically designed to develop the successful candidate into a licensed Professional Engineer, supporting a long-term career at Agnico Eagle. You will support operational excellence, safety, and continuous improvement while learning and growing in a dynamic mining environment.
- Assist with daily civil engineering tasks, including data collection, analysis, and reporting;
- Support the planning, design, and scheduling of civil works and infrastructure projects;
- Collaborate with operations, environment and other related disciplines to optimize construction performance;
- Participate in safety initiatives and promote a culture of safety and responsibility;
- Contribute to environmental stewardship and compliance efforts;
- Engage in continuous improvement projects and support technology adoption;
- Learn to use civil engineering software and tools;
- Take part in training and development opportunities to build your technical and leadership skills;
- Benefit from mentorship and guidance to progress towards professional engineering licensure.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (graduated within the last 2 years or soon to graduate);
- Relocation to Kirkland Lake and a willingness to work in all weather conditions;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Effective communicator and team player;
- Eager to learn, adapt, and contribute in a fast-paced environment;
- Commitment to safety, environmental responsibility, and Agnico Eagle’s values;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint); familiarity with mine planning software is an asset;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Power BI.
Your Work Schedule
- Schedule: 4/3 or 5/2 schedule at our Macassa Mine in Kirkland Lake
Compensation Statement In accordance with applicable legislation, the expected compensation includes base salary and potential bonus opportunity. Your individual pay will reflect your skills and experience while remaining competitive within the local market.

$77,000CAD

$103,000CAD
