Job Summary And Requirements
This posting will be used to fill 1 full‑time term position (until May 28th, 2027) working 75 hours bi‑weekly. It will establish a 12‑month eligibility list which may be used to fill similar positions.

Temporary assignments may be considered.

This job is based in Whitehorse, Yukon.

Who We Are
Population and Public Health, Evidence and Evaluation (PPHEE) team, part of the Innovation, Quality and Performance division, brings together a solid and coordinated team skilled at using data and local evidence collaboratively to support policy and decision making with the goal of improving the health and wellbeing of all Yukoners.

Who We Are Looking For
We are seeking a highly skilled individual with exceptional oral and written communication abilities, adept at conveying complex information effectively. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem‑solving skills and a solid background in health and health system data. Proficiency in manipulating and linking large, intricate datasets is essential. Familiarity with advanced statistical analysis techniques, particularly in a healthcare context, is highly desirable. A passion for continuous learning and a willingness to embrace new technologies are key attributes we value.

Important Application And Job Requirements
Essential Qualifications

Post Secondary education in Computer Science, Health Informatics, Data Science, Statistics or related field.

Proficiency with programming languages commonly used in data analysis, such as Python, R, or SQL.

Experienced in designing, developing, and implementing data projects of medium to large scale.

Experience working with advanced statistical analysis techniques and concepts, and applying them to data sets, ideally in a Health workplace.

Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Suitability

Ability to identify problems, requirements, present options, and recommend solutions with respect to systems development.

Ability to learn new technologies very quickly and resolve any problems involved in integrating new technologies.

Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Ability to work autonomously while also thriving in a collaborative team environment.

Ability to analyze, manipulate, and troubleshoot information from within and across various data systems.

Ability to operate under deadlines and manage competing requests from multiple program areas.

Conditions of Employment

RCMP Security Clearance.

Job Requirements

Occasional travel within and outside Yukon.
