About the Position

teacher beginning August 26, 2026 and ending June 30, 2027, or the return of
the employee they are replacing. This assignment will involve teaching Grade 2.
We are looking for an educator who is passionate about early

and create a welcoming and supportive space for all students. A commitment to
collaboration with colleagues and strong communication with families will be
essential in this role.
About the School
Macklin School, home of the Sabres, is a Pre-Kindergarten to
Grade 12 school with a rich history rooted in the community. Established in
1909 as a one-room schoolhouse, the school has grown and evolved over time
through multiple rebuilds and additions, reflecting the resilience and
commitment of the Macklin community. After a fire destroyed the school in 1934,
a recent building was constructed despite the challenges of the time, followed by
further expansions in 1954, 1985, and most recently in 2008 with the addition
of a second gymnasium.
Today, Macklin School offers a wide range of learning
spaces, including Industrial Arts and Fine Arts rooms, a resource center,
computer areas, and modern facilities that support student learning and
well-being. The school continues to foster a family-like atmosphere where
strong relationships and a supportive environment allow students to grow
academically, socially, and personally.
Our team is committed to making a difference in the lives of
students and living our school values of empathy, integrity, responsibility,
communication, engagement, and innovation. We are looking for a candidate who
shares these values and is excited to join a passionate and collaborative
staff.
