About The Position Macklin School is seeking a temporary part-time (0.5 FTE) teacher beginning August 26, 2026 and ending June 30, 2027, or the return of the employee they are replacing. This assignment will involve teaching Pre-Kindergarten.

We are looking for an educator who is passionate about early learning and creating engaging, play-based, and inclusive environments that support the development of young learners. The successful candidate will build strong relationships with students and families and contribute positively to a collaborative school team.

About The School Macklin School, home of the Sabres, is a Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 12 school with a rich history rooted in the community. Established in 1909 as a one-room schoolhouse, the school has grown and evolved over time through multiple rebuilds and additions, reflecting the resilience and commitment of the Macklin community.





After a fire destroyed the school in 1934, a new building was constructed despite the challenges of the time, followed by further expansions in 1954, 1985, and most recently in 2008 with the addition of a second gymnasium.

Today, Macklin School offers a wide range of learning spaces, including Industrial Arts and Fine Arts rooms, a resource center, computer areas, and modern facilities that support student learning and well-being. The school continues to foster a family-like atmosphere where strong relationships and a supportive environment allow students to grow academically, socially, and personally.
