What We’re Looking For

- PSW/Health Care Aide Certificate (or equivalent recognized in Alberta)(foreign-trained nurse or nursing student may qualify)
- Active Alberta HCA Directory number
- Current Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search (within 6 months)
- Proof of negative TB test
- CPR & First Aid Certification
- Reliable vehicle & valid driver’s license
- Strong communication skills (English required; additional languages an asset)
- Physically able to lift up to 35 lbs (16 kg)
- Access to mobile phone and internet
- Strong verbal and written English; other languages an asset
- Compassion, reliability, and professionalism under pressure

Your Role With Clients

- Provide personal care and hygiene (bathing, grooming, toileting, dressing)
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and light exercises
- Support with meal prep, light housekeeping, companionship
- Document and report changes in condition
- Promote safety, independence, and dignity at all times
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Medication assistance and reminders
- Accompany clients on outings, errands, or appointments
- Follow care plans, document, and report changes
