Liquids Transloading Ltd., a growing transportation company located West of Calmar, Alberta is seeking dedicated, safety conscience Journeyman Heavy Duty Technician to join our team. Safety is a priority and training will be provided to the right candidate. We are exploring apprenticeship candidates, if you are a highly experienced, hands on mechanic with tractor trailer experience but are concerned about your credentials, feel free to apply, we will review your resume with the same respect.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

- Perform truck /trailer inspections, repair and maintenance functions including but not limited to brakes, tires, suspensions, electrical, hitches, plumbing and tankers.

- Driveline and power terrain maintenance, diagnostics and execution of repairs in a timely manner. Successful candidates will have dedicated space for personal tools and equipment in a monitored and secured site.

-Shop housekeeping, may include basic cutting and welding, wash rack duties, organization and cleanliness of shop.

- Promote work place safety and professionalism, mentoring apprentice mechanics employees within the shop.

- May perform other duties as assigned.

- Evening and weekend shifts may be required.

Qualifications:





- Class 5 Driver’s license. (Class 1 or 3 preferred)

- Alberta Vehicle Inspection Technician License.

- Must have tools up to 1 1/2".

- Technical or pre-employment training and /or trailer repair shop experience related to shop safety, shop work practices, mechanical systems and use of hand and power tools.

- Physically fit and of reasonable strength; capable of working outside in all weather conditions if required.

- Ability to complete pre employment testing regarding drug/alcohol and fitness to work.
