Sea Vancouver is the #1 rated activity on TripAdvisor in Vancouver and we are in search of rock star captains to join our team for our busy 2026 season! Conducting multiple daily tours from our office on Granville Island, Vancouver aboard our 30ft twin engine Zodiac vessels with groups out and around Vancouvers waters.

We pride ourselves on delivering the best, most exciting and safest tours to showcase the city of

Vancouver, its surrounding waterways and its local wildlife daily with a group of captains.

Certification/Licenses recognized by Transport Canada required by applicants:

- Small Vessel Operational Proficiency (SVOP)
- Small Domestic Vessel Basic Safety (SDV-BS) OR Maritime Emergency Duties 3 (MED-A3)
- Radio Operator Certificate (ROC-M)
- Basic Marine First Aid OR OFA 2-3

What we require from applicants:

- To have ALL certifications and licenses required listed above
- Availability on weekends and stat-holidays
- Ability to work 10-hour days on your feet
- The utmost respect and regard for safety,



adhering to local rules and regulations and professional operation of the vessel
- The highest respect and ability to conduct yourself professionally with guests and in respect to the operation of our vessels
- Experience operating boats/water vessels professionally.
- Ability to confidently and effectively communicate information to diverse groups as a captain/guide
- Basic mechanical knowledge of boats and out-boat engines.
- Experience in tour guiding, entertainment and customer service
- Must be willing and able to deal with outdoor work and weather conditions
- Ability to show leadership and make professional decisions independently whilst on tour as a captain/guide
- Ability to lift/carry 50lbs

Our management and captain supervisor will provide extensive support and fully paid training for all applicants who are selected. We will take all successful applicants through paid rigorous training to ensure our captain/guides can provide the very best professional service to our customers and passengers.
