Overview:

Asphalt Product Industries Inc. operates a Liquid Asphalt storage, blending, and truck loading terminal located in Come By Chance, NL. We are seeking a motivated and committed Operator/Insulator to join our team. ***THIS IS A SEASONAL POSITION THAT WILL END IN DECEMBER AND START AGAIN IN MARCH***

Duties & Qualifications:

The successful candidate will be a self-motivated individual with the ability to multi-task, and have excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

The duties of this position include but are not limited to:

- Operate and maintain equipment used to transfer materials between storage tanks and tanker trucks (storage tanks, blending tanks, valves, piping, gauges, electrical controllers, scales, loading arm gangways and loading arms)
- Installation and maintenance of tank and pipe insulation
- Valve and piping maintenance
- Forklift Operation
- Monitor and oversee terminal operations to ensure processes run efficiently and safety.

- Conduct routine inspections to confirm equipment is functioning properly and indentify any issues
- General site maintenance (sanding, painting and housekeeping)
- Work collaboratively with team members to support and improve overall terminal operations
- Perform tasks that may involve heavy lifting and physical labour.
- Adherence to all company safety practices and procedures

This position will include heavy lifting, familiarity with process controllers and valves, mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting and maintenance.
