Projects Supervisor
nAs part of the Projects Department at Braya Renewable Fuels, the Projects Supervisor will be responsible for the execution of various tasks including but not limited to the fabrication and installation of pressure piping. Inclusive of supervising a selected number of Pipefitters and High-Pressure Welders, the supervisor will contribute to planning and collaboration with all departments to improve the safety, reliability, and business objectives of the facility. The candidate will also ensure adherence to Braya policies and procedures, including standards, regulations, and contractual agreements.n
Responsibilities
n
n
- This position will Provide supervision to BRAYA Pipefitters and Pipefitter welders that are assigned to the capital project team.n
n
- Ensure employees comply with all Company policies/procedures and safety regulationsn
n
- Supervise, coordinate, and plan activities for your team, and work with contractorsn
n
- Develop and promote a positive employee relations environment within the organization and outside contractorsn
n
- Preparing and entering data into various information systems (i.e., work order history, employee time details, monthly reports, discipline, etc.)n
n
- Ensure all upcoming work requirements are in place to ensure no delays.n
n
- Reviewing employee’s performance and providing appropriate feedback and coachingn
n
- Perform additional duties as assigned.n
n
nQualificationsn
n
- Minimum 5 years of Industrial Piping supervisory experience
n
- Must pass pre-employment medical
n
- Strong verbal and written communication skills including the ability to effectively train and mentor employees
n
- Journeyperson Status, equivalency may be considered (Pipefitter or Pipefitter Welder as asset)
n
- Trade Certificate would be an asset
n
- Motivated and hard-working with a professional attitude
n
- Exemplary record in Health, Safety, and Environment is essential
n
- Proven leadership and problem-solving capabilities and ability to meet deadlines
n
- Computer literacy (an asset), i.e.,
Microsoft Office and (Computerized Maintenance Management System) such as Maximo or SAP
n
- Comprehensive knowledge of refinery operations or Industrial background
n
- Ability to read and understand Ghantt Charts, P6 schedules, etc
n

- Regularly lifts/moves object up to 25 lbs. Occasionally lifts/moves >50lbs. Push/Pulling forces up to 50lbs are required.
n
- Work repetitively involves reaching/stretching, bending, and twisting; regular standing, walking, and climbing.
n
- Use of gross and fine motor skills; constant use of hand tools that require accurate control and steadiness and maintaining physical balance (e.g. Ladders/scaffolding).
n
- Work environments can present exposure to loud noises or environmental hazards.
