About Us:

We are an environmentally-friendly sterile insect release program for one of the biggest pests of apple and pear trees-the codling moth. Our Program breeds and sterilizes codling moths at our state-of-the-art facility in Osoyoos, and we release them into orchards where they mate with wild moths and prevent the population from reproducing. Our seasonal positions are perfect for people who want the flexibility to make some money while enjoying the region’s summer offerings before they start winter work, go back to school or head south for warmer climates.

The Position:

We are currently seeking hardworking, motivated individuals to join the team at our facility in Osoyoos BC. As a Facility Production Labourer you will play an important part in producing a few million high quality moths that will make a big difference this summer for our farmers, our local apple crops, and our environment. There is potential exposure to allergens (moth scales) associated with this position.

About You:

You are a reliable,



hard-working individual with high standards and reliably transport yourself to the worksite. You can adhere to specific policies and procedures. You have a keen eye for detail and are non-entomophobic (not afraid of moths). You are comfortable meeting the physical requirements of the position which include standing for extended periods of time, completing repetitive tasks and duties that involve pulling, pushing, crouching, bending, lifting and stacking.

Basic Duties (on site training is provided):

- Pressure washing moth emergence rooms and diet carts

- Cleaning Diet trays

- Moth collection and irradiation
