Position: Full-Time Early Childhood Educators (ECE)

Level: Level 1, 2, or 3 (Untrained candidates welcome with commitment to training)

Start Date: January 2026

We are expanding! Small World Learning Centre is opening a new location next door to our current site at 352 York Street, Bridgewater.

We are a non-profit organization that has been in the community since 1978.

- We provide programs for children aged 18 months to 12 years
- Reggio-inspired curriculum with a strong focus on forest and nature play
- Beautiful classrooms and large natural outdoor spaces with: -Forest and nature pods -Backyard with firepit -Gardens, fruit and nut trees, greenhouse
- Enhanced programming with Earth Education, Art, or Music
- Individual iPads for documentation using StoryPark
- Weekly planning time
- Monthly PD sessions and professional team support

Training Opportunity We welcome applicants who are untrained but committed to becoming an ECE Level 2 within 2–3 years.

Main Duties:

The Early Childhood Educator should be able to:

- Coordinate and facilitate groups, with the ability to plan, develop, implement, monitor,



promote and evaluate centre-based programs
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with staff, families, community and partners
- Works well both independently and with minimal supervision
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral)
- Apply strong organizational and administrative skills. Manage time and prioritize tasks.
- Demonstrate an interest and willingness to pursue professional development opportunities
- Enjoy and work well with children
- Attend monthly Staff meetings
- Record and complete all monthly documentation
- Complete individual portfolio pages on each child in the classroom

Required Qualifications:

- Provide mandatory Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable Sector Check and Child Abuse Registry Check
- Early Childhood Education Certification Level 1, 2, 3 preferred
- Current First Aid, Infant CPR and WHMIS
- Computer knowledge and experience
- Experience with children
- Own transportation, must have living arrangements in the Bridgewater area
