Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Multi-trade Technician with a background in welding, and carpentry to join our team. In this role, you will perform a variety of skilled tasks including the construction, maintenance, repair, modification of shipping containers used for storage, mobile workspaces, etc using both wood and metal materials ensuring high-quality, durable results.

Key Responsibilities

- Carpentry: Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to measure, cut, and assemble structures made of wood, wood substitutes, and steel. Calculate material requirements. Build foundations, erect walls, and install trim items like doors, baseboards, cabinetry, etc.
- Interior framing and component installation: Build out interior walls using wood or steel studs to prepare the unit for insulation and electrical work. Install man doors, roll-up doors, windows, and specialty hardware. Install interior wall panels (drywall, plywood, PVC, etc)
- Welding: Perform skilled welding, cutting, and fitting of various metals (steel, aluminum). Perform MIG welding to install frames, reinforce cutouts, and attach custom fixtures while ensuring watertight integrity.
- Surface preparation: Meticulously prep Corten steel surfaces by removing rust with grinders, pressure washing, and masking off door hardware and vents.
- Metal modification: Use plasma cutters, oxy-acetylene torches, or angle grinders to cut openings for doors, windows, and HVAC units.
- Finishing work: Grind down sharp edges, apply paint touch-ups,



and ensure the unit meets all quality and safety standards.
- Maintenance and repair: Conduct routine inspections to identify and fix issues in existing shipping containers.
- Safety and compliance: Adhere to all health and safety standards and regulations, maintaining a clean and hazard-free work area.
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

- Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience in both carpentry and welding.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in reading, sketches, and technical drawings.
- Certifications: High school diploma
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift 50–100 lbs and work in various conditions, including climbing ladders or working in adverse weather.
- Tools: Skilled use of power saws, grinders, measuring tools, and specialized welding machinery, etc
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced production setting
- Reliable and dependable

Compensation & Benefits

- Salary: Based on experience and skill level (range from $26-$30)
- Benefits: After (3) months employment
- Schedule: Full-time

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $26.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 44 per week
