The opportunity
Hotel Carmacks is a full-service stopover in the heart of the Yukon, with guest rooms and cabins, an RV park, grocery and fuel services, and a restaurant and lounge that serve both travellers and the local community.
As Cook, you play a central role in that experience. You help keep the kitchen steady, the food consistent, and the service reliable in a small operation where your work is visible every day. This role is a fit for someone who likes practical, hands-on work, takes pride in preparing good food well, and wants to be part of an operation that matters to both guests and the community.

- Guests consistently enjoy well-prepared, great-tasting meals.
- Food is prepared efficiently and presented with care, meeting quality and safety standards.
- Kitchen operations run smoothly through strong organization, teamwork, and communication.
- Health, safety, and cleanliness standards are followed consistently.
- Inventory and supplies are managed well to support service and reduce waste.
- You contribute to a respectful, reliable, and professional kitchen culture.
What you bring to the role
- Experience working in a commercial kitchen or similar food service environment.
- Ability to prepare food consistently, efficiently, and to standard in a fast-paced setting.
- Knowledge of food handling, safety, and cleanliness requirements.
- Solid organization and time management during service.
- A reliable, team-oriented approach and willingness to pitch in where needed.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts based on operational needs.

Job requirements: Ability to work a variety of shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays.
Employment conditions: Food Safe certification (or willingness to obtain in 30 days), authorization to work in Canada.
