Meadow Valley Meats Pitt Meadows is seeking an experienced Shipper/Receiver to join our warehouse team in Pitt Meadows. This is a fast-paced, team oriented environment that requires strong attention to detail, organization, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and a commitment to workplace safety.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

n

n
- Process shipping and receiving documentation accurately and maintain records
n
- Load and unload deliveries safely and efficiently
n
- Verify incoming shipments and track outgoing shipments
n
- Maintain organized filing of shipping documents
n
- Monitor inventory of shipping materials and supplies
n
- Sort and distribute incoming goods
n
- Conduct quality checks on incoming and outgoing shipments
n
- Report discrepancies or damaged goods to the appropriate supervisor
n
- Ensure shipments contain complete and accurate documentation
n
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with company policies and WorkSafeBC regulations
n
- Support general warehouse operations as needed
n

nRequirementsn

n
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
n
- Basic computer and numeracy skills
n
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
n
- Strong organizational and time management skills
n
- Attention to detail and accuracy
n
- Forklift certification or experience operating material handling equipment
n
- Experience in shipping/receiving or warehouse environments
n

nPhysical Requirements (Bona Fide Occupational Requirement)n

n
- Ability to safely lift and move up to 27 kg (60 lbs) on a regular basis
n
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift
n

nWork Conditionsn

n
- Full-time, permanent position
n
- Monday to Friday,



8-hour shifts 8:00 am to 4:00 pm or 7:00 am to 3:00 pm depending on production peaks
n

nWork Environmentn

n
- This role takes place in a meat processing facility
n
- Cold temperatures (refrigerated environment)
n
- Exposure to raw meat products
n
- Involves wet floors, industrial equipment and PPE requirements.
