ROLE

REQUIRED EDUCATION & CERTIFICATION(S)

- Current Certificate of Registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Recent Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia course or equivalent (current experience)
- Recent 12 lead ECG interpretation course, or equivalent (current experience)

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE(S)

- Ability to plan, organize and problem solve
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development
- Ability to work independently and as a team member
- Excellent communication skills,

- Excellent physical assessment skills
- Ability to understand and interpret typical and atypical telemetry and cardiac monitoring preferred

DESIRED SKILLS, EXPERIENCE(S) & EDUCATION

- Recent clinical experience (minimum two years) in Cardiac Care and Acute Stroke/Stroke Rehab Nursing preferred
- Recent related courses, in‑services in Cardiac Care Nursing and Acute Stroke/Stroke Rehab Nursing preferred
- Clinical Nurse Educators that offer on‑site training
- Clinical Scholars available for on unit assistance and questions
- Preceptor/Peer Mentorship Opportunities
- Collaborative Team Environment
- Nurse Support Line (Experienced Nurses or Registered Respiratory Therapists available for advice on non‑emergent issues)
