Duration: Full Time, permanent (3 months’ probationary period)

Company Background: Freymond Lumber operates a sawmill in Bancroft, Ontario producing high quality lumber from wood harvested in a responsible manner from local forests. We have been manufacturing both hardwood and softwood lumber since 1946. We sell truckload quantities of green, graded lumber, cants and ties. Our wood supply is sourced from our own harvesting operations on both Crown Forests and private woodlots and purchased from local logging contractors and landowners.
Position Summary: Freymond Lumber is seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a lumber piler. Hours of work are Monday – Thursday 7:30 am - 5:00 pm, Fridays 7:30 am – 4:00pm.
- Sort and rack lumber according to its grade markings and size.
- Handle lumber stacking in a timely and efficient manner.
- Properly band lifts of lumber for transport.
- Work as part of a team to keep up with the changing output levels of the mill.
Requirements:
There are no formal education qualifications required. On-the-job training will be provided.
- Physically fit, able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Effective communication skills

- Ability to adapt and be flexible
- Ability to operate under pressure and in outdoor weather conditions
- Able to read, understand, and follow safety procedures & policies
- Detail and results oriented with the ability to adhere to shifting priorities and deadlines
