Mechanical Team Member (Labourer/Foreman) - (Mechanical/Civil Construction)

H2Ontario is hiring a full-time Mechanical Team Member (Labourer/Foreman) for various projects in the Southwestern and Central Ontario area.

Summary:
H2Ontario is seeking an eager individual who wants to learn and grow within our organization. We are currently seeking people with a minimum of 5 years of construction experience as a mechanical team member. We offer excellent pay based on experience and performance. Good communication skills and a strong work ethic are a must.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
· Interpreting and reading construction drawings.
· Pipe layout and assembly including:
o Installation of underground utilities/services
o Installation of various types of piping (stainless steel, HDPE, PVC)
· Installation of various types of mechanical equipment (pumps, blowers, filters, etc.)
· Certified trade as plumber (preferred), pipefitter, or millwright is an asset.
· Welding experience is an asset.
· Ability to work with limited supervision.
· Ability to lead skilled labour and work crews engaged with the mechanical scope of the project.
· Willing to perform general contracting duties as projects require.
Requirements:
· Minimum of 5 years of experience in Foreman or Lead Hand role.
· Ability to effectively communicate and lead a team and their work for daily success.
· Have a explicit understanding of workplace safety and advocate for quality workmanship.
· Strong planning and organizational skills – able to plan work in advance.
· Ability to multi-task and prioritize work to support superintendent objectives.
· Ability to meet and adhere to deadlines while working under strict time constraints.
· Valid Ontario Driver’s License.
· Proficient in the English language (written and oral) with strong inter-personal and communication skills.
· Exposure to work in the year-round construction environment.
· Ability to commute/relocate: To any of H2Ontario current project sites.
· valid G drivers’ licence is required.
Skills considered to be an asset:
· Civil and/or Mechanical construction related experience.
· Experience working with skid steer loaders, telehandlers, and mini excavators.
· Knowledge of water treatment and/or wastewater treatment facility construction.
· Post-Secondary Education/College Diploma - Civil or Construction Engineering Technology, or Construction Management.
· Additional certification or training in construction, construction management or related field
