Position Overview
The Social Media & Content Coordinator is responsible for managing and growing our online presence. This role involves creating engaging content, promoting products, showcasing fishing experiences, and connecting with our community both in-store and online.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and manage content for platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube
- Capture photos and videos of products, in-store activity, and fishing trips
- Develop engaging posts including tips, product highlights, and local fishing reports
- Respond to messages, comments, and customer inquiries
- Plan and execute social media campaigns and promotions
- Collaborate with staff to highlight new gear, arrivals, and expertise
- Monitor trends in fishing and social media to keep content fresh and relevant
- Track performance metrics and adjust strategies accordingly
Qualifications
- Passion for fishing (freshwater or saltwater) is highly preferred
- Experience managing social media accounts (personal or business)
- Basic photography and video editing skills
- Strong communication and storytelling abilities
- Creative mindset with attention to detail
- Comfortable being on camera is a plus
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Bonus Skills
- Knowledge of fishing gear, techniques, and local fisheries
- Familiarity with social media analytics and scheduling tools
