Applications are currently being accepted for a Full Time Multi-Site Echocardiographer for the Kincardine site of the South Bruce Grey Health Centre with shifts also assigned to the Walkerton site. Weekend assignments required.

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

· Current or pending registration with CMRITO

· Current registration with Sonography Canada or ARDMS considered an asset

· Recent Cardiac ultrasound experience in a hospital environment considered an asset

· Adult cardiac ultrasound experience as a registered cardiac sonographer: pediatric or fetal echocardiography considered an asset

· Able to maintain confidentiality

· Advanced Computer skills

· Ability to multi-task and prioritize a variety of functions

· Proven interpersonal skills to successfully communicate with patients and staff

· Demonstrated ability in the following competencies: initiative/self-management, problem solving and accountability

· Able to work independently and co-operatively as part of a team

· Positive advocate for professional body of Echocardiography

· Must be able to provide flexibility and availability to meet the needs of the department

· Knowledge of and adherence to SBGHC Core Values

· Advocates and supports a culture of patient safety and demonstrates an understanding of how the department service and assigned responsibilities contribute to overall patient safety at SBGHC through patient safety knowledge, skills and attitudes





· Recent satisfactory performance with demonstrated excellence in attendance required

· Knowledge of and adherence to Occupational Health & Safety and infection control principles

· IV training/ Echo Contrast training an asset
