Job Title: Finance Analyst

Location: 46e Avenue, Lachine, QC H8T 3C9 (Onsite Role)
Contract Type: Contractor (Paid in USD)

Job Summary

The Finance Analyst will be responsible for financial planning, analysis, and reporting to support strategic and operational decision-making. This role involves analyzing financial performance, preparing budgets and forecasts, monitoring key business metrics, and delivering actionable insights to improve profitability, efficiency, and financial control.

The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working cross-functionally to translate financial data into meaningful business recommendations.

Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Analysis & Reporting

- Analyze financial statements, trends, and key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including variance analysis
- Develop dashboards and management reports to support leadership decision-making
- Investigate and explain variances between actual results, forecasts, and budgets

Budgeting & Forecasting

- Support annual budgeting and periodic forecasting cycles
- Partner with business units to understand cost drivers and revenue assumptions
- Monitor operating expenses, capital expenditures, and revenue performance
- Build financial models to assess scenarios, risks, and opportunities

Business & Operational Support

- Provide financial insights to support business initiatives, pricing strategies, and investment decisions
- Conduct cost, margin, and profitability analysis
- Support financial evaluation of new products, projects, and initiatives
- Collaborate with accounting teams to ensure accuracy and consistency of financial data

Systems, Controls & Process Improvement

- Maintain accuracy of financial data within systems and models
- Support internal controls and compliance with company policies
- Identify and implement improvements in financial reporting and processes




- Assist with audit requests and documentation as required

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- 2–5 years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, or related roles
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (financial modeling, pivot tables, data analysis)
- Solid understanding of financial statements and accounting principles
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills

Must-Have Requirements

- Bilingual: French and English (mandatory)
- Experience with ERP systems
- Experience in a manufacturing environment

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with ERP or financial planning systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, NDS, Adaptive, Anaplan)
- Knowledge of financial modeling and business case development
- Experience in corporate, manufacturing, or service-based environments

Compensation & Contract Scheme

- Contractor position
- Payment in USD
- Compensation based on experience and profile (to be discussed during selection process)
