Job Summary:
We are currently hiring an experienced Shipping & Receiving Forklift Operator to support a busy shipping department in Beamsville. This role requires strong forklift skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and reliability.
Responsibilities:
- Operate counterbalance and reach forklifts (minimum 3+ years’ experience)
- Ensure all workplace safety procedures are followed at all times, including forklift safety, securing trailers, and proper material handling
- Wear all required PPE and use tools appropriately
- Obtain daily work instructions and pick notes from the Shipping Manager
- Perform safe and accurate loading of outbound shipments and unloading of incoming materials
- Load, unload, sort, and move shipments manually or using material handling equipment
- Pack, seal, and label materials for shipping
- Put away received goods and finished materials in designated locations
- Move goods within and between warehouse areas
- Perform daily safety checks on forklifts and equipment
- Complete shipping/receiving logs, activity reports, and required documentation
- Report damages, inventory discrepancies, or any issues immediately
- Follow all company policies and procedures without exception (including safety policies and internal guidelines)
- Observe scheduled break times
- Contribute to a strong team setting through reliability, punctuality, and consistent attendance
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of forklift experience (counterbalance and reach truck)
- Valid forklift certification
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety practices
- Ability to perform physical work (lifting, moving, standing for full shifts)
- Reliable and dependable with strong attendance

- Candidates will be required to complete a forklift skills test prior to their start date
