Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring accurate bookkeeping, and supporting various accounting functions using Sage 50 accounting software. This role offers an excellent chance to contribute to the financial health of our organization while utilizing a broad range of accounting tools and systems. The position requires strong analytical skills, and a commitment to accuracy and compliance.

Requirements

- Proven experience with Sage50.
- Strong knowledge of generally accepted principles and practices.
- Excellent math skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to analyze accounts and perform budgeting tasks effectively.




- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
- A degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field is preferred; relevant work experience will also be considered.
- Must have very strong Microsoft Excel capabilities.
- Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, with government agencies such as Canada Revenue Agency or provincial government departments from time to time. This would be regarding various remittance situations such as source deductions, GST, corporate taxes payable, PST or Workers Compensation

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
