About the Role

We’re hiring On-Call Sorters for Quality Control & Packaging at a metal manufacturing facility in Elmira, ON. These are short-term, temporary contract roles — assignments can range from 1 day to 1+ weeks depending on production needs.

You must have a car as the facility is not accessible by public transit and shifts may start early in the morning or end late at night.

This is a fast-paced work environment where you must be able to work independently while maintaining accuracy and focus. The role is ideal for reliable individuals with flexible availability who are comfortable working on-call or on short notice.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform visual quality inspections of manufactured parts for defects (e.g., rust, marks, surface flaws)
- Accurately sort, package, and handle products as directed
- Follow inspection criteria and instructions from Quality Associates
- Repetitively lift and move items up to 50 lbs as required
- Maintain a clean, protected, and organized work area
- Work with the team to meet daily sorting and packaging goals

Qualifications

- MUST have a car/own transportation (Elmira location not transit-accessible, early/late shifts required)
- Able to work on-call and on short notice
- Comfortable with repetitive lifting up to 50 lbs
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and punctuality are a must
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Previous quality inspection, packaging,



or manufacturing experience is an asset

Schedule & Pay

- Pay: $18.00–18.50/hour
- On-Call, Temporary Contract Assignments (no guaranteed hours)
- Assignments: 1 day to 1+ weeks depending on production demand
- Rotating shifts:
- Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Afternoon Shift: 4:30 PM – 3:00 AM
