Reports to: Inventory Manager, Supply Chain Planning
Location: Onsite, Brampton Distribution Center The pay range for the role is $62,600 to $104,300 plus bonus, comprehensive benefits, retirement savings plan, paid vacation, and other perks and opportunities.
Reporting to the Inventory Manager, the Inventory Control Supervisor is responsible for the initiation and maintenance of inventory controls, policies, standard procedures, and systems to achieve accurate financial inventory information.
This is accomplished through Distribution & Inventory team who are responsible for executing inventory related functions in the warehouses, as well as a comprehensive analysis of inventory transactions to identify problems and recommend solutions.
Key Accountabilities: Lead a team at the Brampton DC to reconcile, audit, and complete inventory related tasks for day-to-day operations Liaise with Finance, Customer Service, Planning, Operations teams to address inventory related problems Work with Regional Manager for Inventory all sites outside of Brampton Develop and roll out strategies on inventory related issues for the business Reconcile WMS counts to production counts Reconcile item conversions in Outside Warehouse Reconcile inventory with third party locations Maintain monthly inventory rotation reports Reconcile Internal Hold due to Cycle Counts Publish daily / weekly / monthly inventory accuracy reports Create KPI report, weekly business review and monthly business review Recommend, evaluate,
and optimal warehouse storage criteria for the Brampton DC Create and execute cycle counts and report results online Document any inventory discrepancies Track disposal inventory and reporting costs Travel to other GL plants to train on WMS and RF guns inventory processes Collaborate with Production team, demand planner to forecast inventory level, replenish order, and track shipment Investigate and follow through on all inventory discrepancies Provide detailed capacity analysis report and provide best solution to customer Prepare Corrective Action process and roll out training Perform random audits on all transactional processes (Receiving, Put-Away, Picking) Reviewing and maintaining current skus dimension, product life in warehouse management system Monitor status of all slow/obsolete/damaged /return products, adjust inventory in system Ensure timely updates of raw material, semi, and finish goods receipts in stock Responsible for monitoring and validating invoices sent by vendors for accuracy and contract compliance Monitor the returns and refusal process, arrange disposal Monitor and ensure ongoing improvements for accurate inventory and warehousing processes are in compliance with internal and external audit practice Optimize and maintain inbound inventory Inventory shortage, damaged and customer complaints reduction Develop monthly inventory reconciliation reporting for opening and closing inventory valuation Supporting Distribution operations as required Qualifications & Competencies:
Degree in Business or Operations Management or 5 years related work experience CPA would be considered asset 5 years inventory analysis experience in a manufacturing/distribution/warehouse environment Detail oriented, with exceptional organizational skills Demonstrated leadership skills and abilities Demonstrated ability to formulate solutions and resolve issues in timely manner Must possess effective written and verbal communication skills Exceptional multi-tasking skills Available to work flexible shifts as required Gay Lea Foods is a leading Canadian dairy co-operative renowned for producing high-quality, nutritious dairy products that Canadian families love and trust.
