Part-Time Server — Bâton Rouge Grillhouse & Bar (Kanata)

Bâton Rouge Grillhouse & Bar is hiring part time servers to join our team at our Kanata location (790 Kanata Avenue). We're a busy full-service grillhouse known for quality steaks, ribs, and a warm, polished dining experience. Shifts are primarily evenings, with some daytime availability possible.

What You'll Do

- Deliver attentive, knowledgeable service from greeting through payment
- Take accurate food and drink orders using our POS system (Maitre'D)
- Make confident recommendations on menu items, wines, and cocktails
- Accommodate allergies, dietary restrictions, and special requests professionally
- Work closely with the kitchen and bar to ensure timely, accurate service
- Handle cash, debit, and credit transactions; complete end-of-shift cashouts and tip-outs
- Keep your section clean, well-stocked, and guest-ready; assist with side duties and closing tasks
- Contribute to a positive team environment and uphold Bâton Rouge service standards

What We're Looking For

- Minimum 2 years of full-service restaurant experience (non-negotiable)
- Valid Smart Serve certification required — no exceptions
- Strong communication skills and a genuine hospitality mindset




- Composed and efficient under pressure during busy service
- Full weekend availability required (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
- Availability on all major holidays required (including but not limited to Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Canada Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Boxing Day, and New Year's Eve)
- Evening availability required; some day shifts available
