The Administrative Assistant Scheduling Lead reports directly to the Director of Health Services at Hants Community Hospital. The role provides comprehensive scheduling support to the schedulers for multiple sites, coordinates all scheduling and site administrative activities, establishes procedures and guidelines, and acts as liaison among site schedulers and administrative assistants across the health authority.
The position may provide general coverage during absences and support to committees, Finance Clerk, Foundation and Auxiliaries, send site-wide emails, and answer general inquiries.
Qualifications
- Post‑secondary diploma in office administration, business administration or a related field.
- Minimum of three (3) years of administrative support and office coordination experience.
- Experience supervising staff and/or scheduling in a hospital setting is a robust asset.
- Undergraduate degree, IAAP certification, or experience in an integrated service model across multiple sites is preferred.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, prioritizing and organizational skills.
- Advanced competencies in modern office practices,
technology and meeting technologies.
- Ability to use technology to create efficiencies in meeting planning and information retrieval.
- Language competencies are an asset; French preferred.
Hours
Long‑assignment full‑time position; 70 hours bi‑weekly. Travel to various sites is required.
Compensation and Benefits
Hourly rate: $28.80 – $31.77. Eligible candidates may receive a benefits package that includes health, dental, travel, long‑term disability, life insurance and a defined benefit pension plan.
