Position Overview
Cloud Security Engineer with approximately three years of hands on experience securing Microsoft Azure environments in operational settings. This role focuses on embedding security and compliance into cloud platforms through Infrastructure as Code and Policy as Code, eliminating manual Click Ops approaches.
The position requires the ability to assess cloud architectures against recognized standards such as ISO, NIST, and CIS, translate requirements into enforceable controls, and automate compliance at scale. The engineer will work closely with platform, networking, and application teams across regions to strengthen security posture while enabling delivery.
Key Responsibilities
· Design, implement, and operate security controls for Microsoft Azure environments using Infrastructure as Code and Policy as Code
· Perform security and compliance assessments aligned with ISO, NIST, and CIS benchmarks
· Translate regulatory and internal requirements into practical, scalable cloud security controls
· Develop and maintain Policy as Code using Azure Policy, Open Policy Agent, and Hashi Corp Sentinel
· Evaluate and harden cloud architectures with a focus on networking, routing, firewalls, and secure connectivity
· Implement and manage secure key and secret management using Azure Key Vault
· Leverage Microsoft Defender for Cloud to monitor posture, identify risks, and drive continuous improvement
· Support data protection and regulatory compliance requirements including GDPR within cloud platforms
· Collaborate with international teams to support cross border security initiatives and shared standards
· Contribute to operational security processes including incident support, remediation, and platform stabilization

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related field
- Approximately three years of hands on experience in cloud security engineering or cloud operations with a strong security focus
- Proven experience securing Microsoft Azure environments in production
- Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code and Policy as Code practices using Terraform or Open Tofu
- Demonstrated ability to assess and implement controls aligned with ISO, NIST, and CIS frameworks
- Solid understanding of cloud networking, firewalls, routing, and secure architecture design
- Experience with Microsoft Defender for Cloud and cloud security posture management
- Understanding of data protection and regulatory requirements such as GDPR
- Detail oriented, hands on mindset with strong problem solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in distributed, international team environments
- Transparent written and verbal communication skills

Salary Range:
$100,000 to $130,000 annually, depending on technical proficiency and years of relevant experience.
