About the Role

Lankin Investments is seeking an energetic and service-oriented IT Specialist – Tier 1 to join our team. This role is ideal for a technically capable problem-solver who enjoys working with people and providing hands-on support in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will serve as the first line of IT support across Lankin Investments and its affiliated companies, assisting staff with technical issues, workstation setup, onboarding/offboarding processes, and day-to-day IT operations. This role requires someone who is quick on their feet, detail-oriented, team-oriented, and able to multitask across multiple business units. This is an advanced Tier 1 position, suited for someone with 2–3 years of experience, who can troubleshoot efficiently while coordinating with internal stakeholders and our third-party IT service provider for escalations and complex issues.

Responsibilities

End-User Support

- Serve as the first line of technical support for employees across Lankin Investments and its affiliates.
- Diagnose and resolve basic hardware, software, and connectivity issues in a timely manner.
- Provide both remote and in-person troubleshooting support for employees.
- Maintain a high level of customer service and professionalism when assisting staff.




- Troubleshoot issues specifically related to Microsoft 365, email, collaboration tools, and shared drives.

IT Operations

- Set up and configure workstations, laptops, monitors, docking stations and peripherals.
- Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding, including device setup, system access, permissions, and equipment recovery.
- Support office technology infrastructure, including printers, meeting rooms and equipment, and collaboration tools.
- Perform routine system checks and ensure devices are functioning properly across office environments.

Network & Infrastructure Support

- Assist with basic network and Wi-Fi troubleshooting across office locations.
- Support troubleshooting related to connectivity issues, and network performance.
- Assist in monitoring network and system performance and report irregularities.

Vendor & Escalation Management

- Collaborate with our third-party IT service provider to escalate issues and track resolution.
- Assist in coordinating support tickets and ensuring follow-up with external IT partners.
- Document issues and solutions to improve internal IT knowledge and processes.

IT Asset & System Management

- Maintain inventory of IT equipment and assets.
- Ensure devices are properly configured and secured before deployment.
- Assist with software installations, updates, and patching.
- Track and manage IT equipment lifecycle, replacements, and warranties.

Qualifications

- 2–3 years of IT support experience in a help desk or Tier 1 environment.
- Experience supporting Windows-based environments and office productivity tools.
- Experience setting up and supporting office workstations and hardware.




- Experience working with third-party IT vendors or managed service providers (MSPs).
- Exposure to basic network administration or infrastructure support.
- Experience supporting multiple offices or affiliated companies.

Required Skills

- Windows OS troubleshooting
- Microsoft 365 / Office applications
- Basic networking (Wi-Fi, routers, switches, connectivity troubleshooting)
- Hardware setup and configuration, included meeting rooms and individual offices
- Helpdesk ticketing systems
- Strong people skills and ability to work with employees at all levels.
- Outgoing, positive energy with a collaborative mindset.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Ability to multitask and adapt quickly between Lankin and its affiliates with priority level setting
- High level of attention to detail and organization.
- Ability to remain calm and responsive when handling urgent technical issues.
