Position SummaryThe Administrator & Quality Lead is responsible for the overall leadership, management, and regulatory compliance of the Long-Term Care Home in accordance with the Fixing Long-Term Care Act, 2021 (FLTCA) and all applicable Ontario legislation.This non-union leadership role provides both operational oversight and quality leadership, ensuring resident-centred care, a strong culture of safety, and continuous quality improvement across all departments. The Administrator & Quality Lead reports to the Regional Director.Key ResponsibilitiesAdministrator / Executive Director AccountabilitiesOperational LeadershipProvide day-to-day leadership and oversight of all Home operations.Ensure full compliance with the Fixing Long-Term Care Act, 2021, regulations, and Ministry of Long-Term Care (MLTC) directives.Act as the designated Administrator and primary contact for MLTC inspections and compliance matters.Implement corporate initiatives and directives as assigned by the Regional Director.Financial & Resource ManagementOperate within approved budgets and financial controls.Monitor expenditures and staffing to ensure sustainability while maintaining quality and compliance.Collaborate with the Regional Director on forecasting, capital planning, and operational priorities.People Leadership (Non-Union Environment)Lead, coach, and develop the Home's leadership team.Oversee recruitment, performance management, discipline, and succession planning for management and staff.Ensure staffing levels, skill mix, and scheduling meet legislative requirements and operational needs.Ensure compliance with professional college standards and scope of practice.Stakeholder RelationsServe as the senior on-site leader for residents, families, staff, regulators, and external partners.Address resident and family concerns, complaints,



and escalations in a timely and respectful manner.Represent the Home professionally within the community and health system.Quality Lead AccountabilitiesQuality Improvement & Patient SafetyLead the development, implementation, and monitoring of the Home's Quality Improvement Program including facilitating the CQI meetings and overseeing the creation and successful implementation of the Quality Improvement Plan (QIP).Oversee quality indicators and facilitate improvement initiativesUse data analysis, audits, and trend monitoring to identify risks and drive improvement.Regulatory Compliance & InspectionsLead preparation for, response to, and follow-up from MLTC inspections.Ensure timely completion of corrective action plans and sustained compliance.Monitor ongoing compliance with FLTCA, regulations, Ministry directives, and internal policies.Incident Management & Risk OversightEnsure appropriate reporting, investigation, and follow-up of:Critical incidentsComplaintsAdverse events and near missesOversee Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and ensure corrective actions are implemented and evaluated.Policy, Education & Continuous ImprovementEnsure policies and procedures are current, evidence-informed, and compliant.Collaborate with clinical leadership to support quality-related education and competency development.Promote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and psychological safety.Qualifications & ExperienceEligibility to be designated as an Administrator under the Fixing Long-Term Care Act,



2021Minimum 3–5 years of leadership experience in Long-Term Care or a regulated healthcare environmentDemonstrated experience with MLTC inspections and regulatory complianceStrong leadership, communication, and decision-making skillsExperience leading Quality Improvement Program (QIPs)Post-secondary education in Health Administration, Nursing, Business, or related fieldAccreditation Canada experience considered an assetCore CompetenciesRegulatory and legislative expertiseQuality improvement and risk managementOperational leadership in a non-union environmentChange managementData-driven decision-makingRelationship management and communicationWorking ConditionsFull-time, on‐site leadership roleOn-call availability as required for operational or regulatory mattersOccasional after‐hours work to support inspections, critical incidents, or emergenciesDue to the blended nature of this role, responsibilities may shift based on operational, quality, or regulatory priorities.
