Job Description

nWe’re seeking enthusiastic, bilingual Walking Tour Guides for our Quebec City tours. Ideal candidates are fluent in English, French, Spanish, German and/or Portuguese and available to lead tours on weekdays and weekends. You’ll guide groups of 4-30 guests on entertaining, informative walking tours that highlight the city’s history, culture, and hidden gems.n

Roles and Responsibilities

- Creativity – Research, design, and customize tours with captivating stories.

- Leadership – Welcome, lead, and guide groups of 4 to 30 people.

- Customer Service – Represent Toonie Tours and the tour guide profession with enthusiasm.

- Local Expertise – Provide local recommendations and travel tips to visitors.

- Adaptability – Work outdoors in all weather conditions and adjust tours based on group needs.

- English Required. A Second language (French, Spanish, ) is an asset.

- Physically Fit – Able to walk 5 km in 2.5 to 3 hours while speaking and leading.

- Work Authorization – Must be legally allowed to work in Canada.

- Tour Guide Permit - Must have a valid Tour Guide Permit to guide in Quebec City

nLegal and Regulatory RequirementsnCandidates must hold a Quebec City Tour Guide permit, which requires completion of an approved guide training program (Mérici or Champlain-St. Lawrence) and a criminal record check.n
