Hospitality Host

Role Description

At Kalido House Hotels, we believe every detail shapes a guest’s stay. As a Hospitality Host, you play a key role in creating warm, welcoming, and thoughtfully managed spaces for our guests across our downtown Vancouver properties.

This is a full-time, on-site position based in Vancouver. You will move between multiple properties in the downtown core, ensuring each space reflects our commitment to comfort, quality, and care. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being active, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is eager to learn while balancing guest interaction with operational coordination.

You’ll be a central point of communication—supporting guest interactions, coordinating internally with teams, and ensuring day-to-day operations run smoothly and efficiently.

What You Bring

- Experience in hospitality (hotels or vacation rentals preferred)
- A warm, professional, and guest-focused approach
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and stay calm in a fast-paced workplace
- Willingness to learn quickly and take initiative
- Comfortable walking between multiple downtown properties throughout the day
- Reliable, adaptable, and solution-oriented
- Familiarity with hospitality systems/software is an asset

What You’ll DoGuest Communication & Experience

- Serve as a key point of contact for guests via phone, messaging, and in-person interactions
- Respond promptly and thoughtfully to guest inquiries, requests, and concerns
- Ensure all guest communications reflect Kalido House’s warm and professional tone




- Help create a seamless and welcoming experience from arrival to departure

Operational Coordination

- Monitor and support internal communication across teams to ensure alignment and efficiency
- Coordinate between housekeeping, maintenance, and operations to keep daily flow smooth
- Stay informed on property status and communicate updates clearly to the team

Quality & Property Oversight

- Walk between multiple downtown properties to ensure standards are consistently met
- Inspect guest rooms and common areas for cleanliness, readiness, and overall quality
- Identify and resolve issues quickly to maintain a high standard of presentation

Administrative & Billing Support

- Review and verify bills, invoices, and internal records for accuracy
- Ensure proper documentation and communication related to operational details
- Support basic administrative tasks that keep operations running smoothly

Team Support

- Contribute to a positive, respectful, and collaborative team environment
- Lead by example with a hands-on, proactive attitude
- Embrace feedback and continuously look for ways to improve

Job Details

- Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

- Travel: Required (walking between nearby properties)

Requirements

- Ability to reliably commute or relocate to Vancouver, BC before starting
- Hospitality experience preferred

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $23.00 per hour
