This is an in office role for an Optometrist located in Calgary, AB. The role entails examining patients' eyes to detect vision problems, diseases, and other conditions such as diabetes and hypertension. Optometrists also prescribe and fit eyeglasses and contact lenses, and advise patients on the proper care of their eyes.
Qualifications
Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree or equivalent
Current license as a practicing optometrist in the province of Alberta
Experience in eye exams, diagnosis and management of ocular diseases, and prescribing eyewear and/or contact lenses
Excellent patient communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to operate diagnostic equipment and software necessary to conduct proper eye exams
