We are currently seeking and have an immediate opening for a qualified and motivated individual to fill the position of Counter/Inside Sales based out of Winnipeg, MB location (895 Century St, Winnipeg, MB).

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Provide prompt, professional service to walk-in customers and respond to product inquiries in person, by phone, and by email
- Assess customer needs and recommend appropriate products, pricing, availability, and alternative solutions
- Process sales transactions, quotes, special orders, and returns accurately while communicating order status, shipment details, and delivery timelines
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and repeat customers to support branch sales
- Receive, verify, and process incoming shipments, ensuring products are correctly identified, labeled, and undamaged according to company procedures
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for delivery or customer pickup
- Organize and move inventory to designated storage areas to maintain efficient warehouse operations




- Coordinate incoming shipments and report receiving discrepancies to the Purchasing Department
- Safely operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts
- Assist with scheduled physical inventory counts
- Uphold company policies and procedures while maintaining a professional branch and warehouse presence
- Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of experience in a fast-paced Counter Sales environment is required;
- Though not required, preference will be given to individuals with experience working in Industrial Supplies or related environment(s)
- Strong customer service skills with a professional, positive attitude
- Clear and effective communication skills
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Solid problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong time management skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Honest, dependable, and punctual with a proactive work ethic
- Capable of following written instructions, safety procedures, and documented processes
- Comfortable using computers, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel), and ERP/order entry systems
- Working knowledge of business math including pricing, measurements, ratios, and basic algebra
