Responsibilities

Performs repairs (including emergency), modifications and preventive maintenance work of all phases and any other work which relates to Coast Mountain Bus Company Ltd. Trolley Overhead lines, including overhead support system and overhead cables in accordance to specifications and standards. Required to work on shifts and to respond to call-outs.

Qualifications

Qualified journeyperson, “Provincial Power Line Technician” Certificate.

Previous experience in construction, maintenance and repairs of overhead power lines.

Additional experience in trolley line work is definitely an asset.

Ability to read and interpret drawings and standards.

An equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.

The ability, after training, to hold a Class 3 driver’s licence with air ticket is required to drive trolley overhead truck (over G.V.W. of 24,000 lbs.).

An up-to-date driving abstract must accompany application. Maximum 6 points in the past 3 years, no impaired convictions, roadside suspensions or prohibitions in the past 3 years.





Will be required to undergo a comprehensive medical examination.

Recruitment Process: An applicant will be required to demonstrate their suitability for this position by meeting the minimum level of qualifications and experience in order to be invited into the selection process. A standard interview format will be used including general, scenario and behavioural descriptive interview questions.

Work Schedule

37.5 hours per week.

This position works predominately in office.

Rate of Pay

Wage: $66.58 per hour
