The Role
We are looking for a passionate, skilled, and reliable Piano Teacher to join our team in the
Kitchener-Waterloo
area. If you love nurturing musical talent of all age ranges and have a strong background in the Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) curriculum, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- In-Studio Instruction:
Provide group (45-minutes) and 1:1 (30-minutes) piano lessons at our music centre in Kitchener.
- Online Learning:
Conduct engaging and effective virtual classes for students who prefer remote learning.
- Curriculum Management:
Prepare students for RCM examinations, recitals, and theory assessments.
- Student Progress:
Track and communicate student milestones and areas for improvement to parents/guardians.
Requirements
- Experience:
Proven experience teaching piano, specifically with the
RCM curriculum (Level 5 and above)
.
- Education:
A degree or diploma in Music, or equivalent RCM certification.
- Tech Savvy:
Comfortable using video conferencing tools (Google Meet) for online lessons.
- Soft Skills:
Excellent communication, patience, and a "student-first" mentality.
- Background Check:
A valid Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) will be required upon hiring.
