HVAC Installation Contractor – Residential

Please note: this is an independent contractor opportunity, not an employment position. Contractors run their own business, invoice L.G. Home Comfort for completed work, and are responsible for their own taxes, insurance, WSIB coverage, vehicle, tools and crew.

L.G. Home Comfort is growing across Ontario, and we're partnering with experienced, licensed HVAC installers who run their own operation. We supply the customers and a steady flow of pre-sold installations. You bring the skills, the truck and the tools, and get paid for every job you complete.

Contract at a Glance

- Engagement: Independent contractor (sole proprietor, partnership or incorporated business)
- Pay: Piece-rate, a set rate per completed job, invoiced to LGHC
- Earnings: Expected starting amount of $90,000 per year. Our contractors average $100,000–$150,000+ (gross)
- Payment terms: Paid semi-monthly on approved invoices

Scope of Work

All work is residential installation, matched to your licences and experience:

- Install, replace and commission residential furnaces, A/C units, heat pumps and water heaters
- Complete installs to Ontario code, manufacturer specifications and LGHC's installation standards
- Perform start-ups and confirm the system is running to spec
- Supply and supervise your own helpers on larger installs
- Close out each job in LGHC's mobile app (photos, notes, sign-off) so it can be invoiced
- Follow TSSA, ESA and safety requirements on every site
- Leave the customer's home clean and treat homeowners with professionalism and respect

What You Must Provide

- Business details:



registered business name or operating name, address, and HST number
- WSIB: a valid WSIB Clearance Certificate, kept current for the length of the contract
- Insurance: Commercial General Liability insurance
- Vehicle: a reliable, commercially insured vehicle that can carry equipment and materials to the job site
- Tools & equipment: your own full set of tools, including gauges, vacuum pump, recovery equipment, combustion analyzer and ladders
- Crew: any helpers or apprentices you bring, covered by your WSIB and insurance and paid by you

Qualifications & Licensing

- 3–5+ years of residential HVAC installation experience
- Valid TSSA G2 Gas Technician licence required
- Valid TSSA License
- Valid ODP (Ozone Depletion Prevention) card required
- 313A or 313D Certificate of Qualification an asset
- Strong technical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently
- Explicit communication and a customer-first attitude in homeowners' homes
- Valid Ontario driver's licence and clean driving record
- Able to lift 50+ lbs and work in attics, crawlspaces and on rooftops
