We bring together thoughtfully prepared drinks, fresh flowers, and a welcoming space for our neighborhood. We’re looking for an experienced barista who enjoys both the craft of making coffee and the everyday work that keeps a small café running well. You should be comfortable taking responsibility for your station, engaging warmly with customers, and staying organized during both busy and quieter periods. The role You’ll prepare espresso drinks, matcha, teas and seasonal beverages using Bouquet Café’s recipes and presentation standards. You’ll also:
- Dial in espresso, taste and assess shots, and make grinder adjustments throughout service.
- Steam milk consistently and produce clean free-pour latte art during regular service.
- Welcome customers, take orders, process payments, and keep service attentive and organized.
- Complete opening or closing routines, including espresso-machine cleaning and backflushing, pastry setup/storage, and a clear shift handover.
- Keep the whole café clean and ready for service—including dishes, seating, floors, the washroom, waste removal, restocking and basic inventory checks.
- Occasionally assist with floral pickups, simple packaging and deliveries as directed. Floral experience is not required.



This is a hands-on café role, not an espresso-bar-only position. Everyone contributes to keeping the space clean, stocked and welcoming. What we’re looking for You should have at least one year of professional barista experience, with recent hands-on use of commercial espresso equipment. Independent dial-in, grinder adjustment, milk steaming, consistent latte art and machine cleaning should already be part of your experience. Just as importantly, we’re looking for someone who communicates clearly, follows recipes and checklists, responds constructively to feedback, and notices what needs doing without waiting to be prompted for every task. We’ll provide training on Bouquet Café’s menu, equipment routines and operating procedures. Applicants should already have the core barista skills needed to become independent after that café-specific training. Schedule Typical shifts are: Opening: 7:30 AM–2:00 PM Closing: 2:00 PM–8:30 PM We welcome applicants with consistent opening, closing or mixed availability. Please provide the days and complete shifts you can regularly commit to, including Sundays. This is an ongoing part-time position, generally 2–4 shifts per week.
