- Provide individual counselling services within your professional scope
- Conduct client assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Establish therapeutic goals and monitor client progress
- Use evidence-informed counselling approaches
- Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential clinical records
- Follow BCACC ethical standards and applicable privacy requirements
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals when appropriate and authorized
- Provide compassionate, professional, and client-centred care Qualifications
- Master's degree in counselling, counselling psychology, or a related field that meets BCACC requirements
- Current Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) designation and membership in good standing with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC)
- Current professional liability insurance
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional and client-centred approach
- Ability to work independently and manage your own caseload
- Commitment to ethical and evidence-informed practice Additional Assets Experience or training in the following areas is an asset:
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) or Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
- Trauma-informed counselling or EMDR
- Chronic pain and injury-related counselling
- ICBC-funded counselling
